NORAD and Google provide live trackers for Santa's global journey

Santa's annual journey begins at the North Pole

Both NORAD and Google track Santa's route on Christmas Eve

A transit permit from the U.S. Department of Agriculture ensures Santa's entry into the U.S.

The permit is issued to Mr. S. Nicholas Claus of the North Pole.

Gifts and Good Cheer, Inc. is identified as Santa's distributing entity.

The permit allows reindeer entry and exit between 6 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 6 a.m. on Dec. 25.

The specified time is in local U.S. time zones.

Santa can cross any U.S. border port during the permitted hours.

The passage assures Santa's trouble-free entry into the U.S. this year.
